We all know that using Accutane before and during pregnancy is a big no-no, so what are you expected to do if you all of a sudden get hit with a case of acne when you're expecting?

Whether your acne is new along with your pregnancy or whether you've had it before and now it's just back with a vengeance, you don't need to sit there idly by and let your hormones take over. Here are some tips that will help treat your pregnancy acne and restore that pregnancy glow.

1. Keep your skin clean. Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser and rinse thoroughly to ensure that leftover soap is removed-you don't want to clog the pores you're trying to clean!

2. Resist the urge to touch your face or, even worse, pop or pick at your pimples. Not only will it make your condition worse, but it could cause scarring.

3. Cut back on stress. Stress is a leading cause of breakouts and a little stress management could go a long way at reducing inflammation and redness of affected skin.

4. Try using natural herbs and oils. Some of these herbs and oils have been known to improve acne, but there is no clinical proof. But since they are completely safe and MAY work, it's certainly worth a shot: Oleum Carophylii, Oleum Lavandula, Symphytum, Echinacea, Azadirachta, Tea Tree Oil, Arctium lappa, Melaleuca Alternifolia, Lavender essential oil, and Bulbine frutescence. Check with your doctor before using herbs that you're not familiar with.

5. Stock up on oranges. Orange peels are great for acne-prone skin. Grate some orange peel and mix the shavings with a little lemon juice to form a paste. The Vitamin C in the paste will sooth your skin and clean pores.

6. Reduce the red with aloe. Aloe Vera is an natural anti-inflammatory that will calm your skin and reduce redness. You can buy aloe in a drugstore or break open a fresh aloe leaf and apply it directly to your skin.
You'll get that pregnancy glow back before you know it!
