hair follicles fulfills theses needs. Blood circulation to
hair follicle increases when scalp is
massaged well. Scalp massage is beneficial for
healthy hair. Few precautions have to be taken while
massaging hair.• People with oily scalp should massage scalp twice in a week with thin
hair oils like
coconut oil. Use little oil to massage. Over use of oil may lead to
hair loss,
dandruff and itching.
• People with dry
hair and dry scalp should massage their scalp and
hair with sesame oil or
coconut oil. Massaging scalp and
hair daily help to reduce
dryness of scalp and hair. It also prevents splitting of
hair.
• Normal
hair and normal scalp need massage in alternate days. This can be done with sesame or
coconut oil.• Never overdo massage. This may lead to hair loss.
• A 10 minutes massage is sufficient.
• Massage should be done with finger tips.
