Apples are available in many colours and with various tastes. Always chose apples which are ripe and sweet to taste. Sour apples may cause vitiation of pitta and acidity. Haritaki is the name of fruit which grows on a deciduous tree. The tree of haritaki grows to a height of 30 meters. The haritaki fruit is 2-4 cm long and has 5 longitudinal ridges. The flowers are dull white or yellow in colour.

Vibhitaki or Bibhitaki is an ayurvedic fruit. It is one of three important healthy fruits or triphala. Other two fruits are Amla (Emblica Officinalis ) and Haritaki (Terminalia Chebula). This fruit has immense medicinal properties and is used in various diseases.
