Relationship between stress and psoriasis

Numerous medical studies have shown that there is a strong relationship between stress and psoriasis. This skin condition gives rise to stress and stress acts as a triggering factor for psoriasis. Thus stress induces psoriasis. This vicious circle aggravates the issue. If steps to break this cycle are adopted, the condition can be brought under control.

According to texts of ayurveda stress causes undernourishment or drying of male reproductive tissues. This in turn reduces production of shukra dhatu . (shukra dhatu is compared to semen)

Stress and depression leads to low body energy level, disturbed sleep and feeling of exhaustion. Sleepless nights and exhaustion can cause dark circles, wrinkles, acne and pimples which make you look unhealthy and unattractive. Stress can also affect liver hindering its process of toxin expulsion.  Thus accumulation of toxins is also a contributing factor for dark circle.

The stress also affects male reproductive system. It causes erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, low sperm count and infertility. Smoking and alcohol consumption exaggerate the effects of stress.

2.Indigestion:  Stress causes indigestion or stomach upset as it interferes with hormones and nervous system signals that are involved with food digestion.
