Here are few effective methods to prevent under eye circles or dark circles. However, with these tips we can still minimize the appearance of these with simple self care tips. Go through these useful tips.

Make up tips

Concealing the dark circles around eyes through make up techniques is one quick fix for this condition. Do not use bleach or peels to make the dark circles around eyes light.

Good cosmetics and proper tools effectively hide dark circles. But it is not a permanent solution for dark circle. It is not wise to use concealers daily.

The concealers effectively hide dark circles as they are opaque. Dark circles can not be concealed with normal make up.

The color of concealer should be one shade lighter than your normal skin if the dark circles are blue black. If puffiness is associated with dark circles then the concealer color should be one shade darker than normal skin. Yellow base is always the best choice.

Apply concealer from the inside corner of eye to outside till the concealer blends completely with your skin. Spread it evenly along entire area around dark circles to achieve effective blending with the normal skin. This prevents uneven skin tone and shading.

Do not apply a thick coat of concealer. A light touch will do.

Do not apply mascara on lower lashes as flakes of mascara which fall on lower eye lid darkens the dark circles.

Use a light and uncolored powder at the end. This gives a smooth well polished appearance.

Keep yourself well hydrated

Dark circles appear when body is dehydrated. Drinking lots of water rehydrates the body and keeps the skin moist. Dark circles disappear when body is rehydrated. Drink fresh fruit juice without sugar or salt.

Sleep Well

Sleep for sufficiently long hours to prevent formation of dark circles under eyes. A good undisturbed sleep for eight hours helps to get rid of these. Our body has self healing property. This applies to skin too. Most of the repair functions take place in sleep. A good night sleep for 7-8 hours helps the skin to repair itself .

Eat Healthy Food

Diet, which is rich in nutrients helps to remove dark circles around eyes. Eat healthy foods. Include fresh green vegetables and fruits in diet. These foods contain anti oxidants in plenty.  Avoid junk foods and deep fried foods. Nourishing diet helps to prevent dark circles. Say good bye to sweets and chocolates. Restrict salt intake as it dehydrates the body by fluid retention. Drink plenty of water. Well hydrated skin is not prone for wrinkling. Plenty of proteins, fresh fruits and vegetables keep the body healthy and keeps the skin firm. Good diet with nutrients keeps the dark circles away.

Exercise Regularly

Exercise regularly. A brisk walk for 30 minutes is the best exercise. This improves blood circulation and also help to reduce stress. Include Yoga and Pranayama (deep breathing exercises) in your exercise routine . These help to reduce the stress and help to keep the skin under eyes bright.

Keep Stress at Bay

Reduce stress and anxiety. Indulge in stress busting activities like outdoor sports, listening to music, gardening etc. Stress is the strong cause for dark circles as stress releases hormones which accelerate the ageing process. Practice meditation.

Follow Ayurvedic Healthy Lifestyle
