About Ksheera Paka or Ayurvedic Milk Recipes
Texts of ayurveda have recommended many simple milk recipes for men to increase their ability to be sexually active. These preparations which have milk as base help to increase hardness, duration of hard erection and prevent premature ejaculation. Milk is a known Vajikarana Dravya or Vajikarana Food. It helps to increase shukra dhatu (semen). When other vajikarana herbs are added to milk , the Vajikarana properties of all the ingredients are enhanced. Milk acts as a vehicle and helps these herbs to reach tissues of male reproductive system. Thus the total male reproductive system gets rejuvenated and doshas get balanced. Such milk preparations are known as ksheerapaka or ayurvedic milk recipes.

Vajikarana milk with long pepper Recipe
Preparation of “Vrushya Pippali” is explained as follows , by ayurveda Acharya Charaka.
The Vajikarana milk with long pepper can be prepared as follows.
Take a thick bottomed pan and place it on stove. Simmer the flame. Fry long pepper, in sesame oil. Allow this to cool down. Blend fried pippali in a mixer to make a fine powder. Mix honey, sugar, ghee and cardamom powder to this mixture and mix well. Store it in a air tight container. Mix a spoon of this powder with a glass of milk, which is little warm and consume it daily after dinner .
According to Charakacharya milk from green gram fed cow’s udder should be directly mixed to this mix. But it is not possible in present conditions as pasteurisation is required to eliminate contaminations.
Few Ayurvedic physicians recommend to use Black Gram or Urad Dal to reduce spiciness of long pepper. For the above mentioned recipe, 1 cup of urad dal can be added. This has to be roasted in sesame oil separately and then powdered with pippali.
After consuming this freshly cooked shashtika shali rice (rice grown in 60 days) has to be consumed with milk and ghee. At present one can use organically grown native brown rice.
Benefits of Vrushya Pippali
According to texts of ayurveda this preparation helps in impotence. Ayurveda acharyas mention its effects as ” Bhuktwaa na rattrimastabdham lingam pashayati naa ksharaat” (Persons who consume this preparation at night will never see their genital organ going soft during sexual act). Aphrodisiac Properties of Pippali
Properties of pippali are explained as follows by Acharya Bhava Prakasha
While explaining medicinal properties of long pepper, acharya praises this spice as “vrushya” or aphrodisiac. Even though it is spicy to taste, it becomes sweet when digested and it will not increase body heat. It also helps in prameha or diabetes. Hence this recipe without honey and sugar can be used in erectile dysfunction due to diabetes. Pippali balances kapha and this helps to reduce body weight or obesity. Hence obese persons who suffer from obesity related erectile dysfunction can also use this without sugar and honey.
This preparation also helps to increase memory power and intelligence. It acts as a brain tonic.
Aphrodisiac Properties of Milk
Ayurvedic scholars eulogise aphrodisiac properties of milk as follows
Milk nourishes all 7 dhatus or 7 important tissues. It specially enhances qualities of shukra dhatu and strengthens it (shukra dhatu enhances sexual function and fertility in men). Hence it is praised as vrushya or aphrodisiac.
