Vajikarana Foods

Vajikarana Foods are aphrodisiac foods in the Western language. Westerners consider chocolate and oysters as aphrodisiac foods. According to them –

Chocolate

Chocolate is a very popular aphrodisiac food as it contains many stimulants including phenethylamine, tryptophan, sugar, and theobromine. Tryptophan can block pain and increase pleasure and when you fall in love the brain releases phenethylamine. However, the quantities of these compounds found in chocolate are very minute and the aphrodisiac side of chocolate may be sure to its stimulant properties.

Oysters

Oysters have been associated with eroticism for a very long time because of their appearance and texture. However, it is most likely the high zinc levels found in oysters that make them an aphrodisiac food. If you are deficient in zinc then you run the risk of being impotent or having delayed sexual development. However, if you are not zinc deficient then it is unknown how oysters can help with your sexual arousal.

Water Melon

Recent research has shown that watermelon is rich in an important amino acid, known as citrulline. This amino acid dilates and relaxes the blood vessels. Viagra and other ED drugs do the same work.  Hence consuming 3-4 servings of watermelon per day, helps to improve sexual function in men.  Thus watermelon can also be considered Vajikarana Food.

Other aphrodisiac Foods

Fresh Fruits like banana, grapes, mango, pomegranate, etc are also good for men

Vegetables like drumsticks or moringa and ash gourd are known to increase sexual function

Nuts like almonds, Raisins, Figs, Dates or khajur, walnuts, pistachios, etc have been considered excellent foods for libido in men. Read Best Dry Fruits and Nuts for Erectile Dysfunction or ED or Impotence
